To celebrate the 135th anniversary of the opening of the New Glasshouse Bridge and Byker Road Bridge this short history of bridging the Ouseburn covers thirteen river crossings in the half-mile stretch of the Lower Ouseburn Valley from the Ouseburn Viaduct to the Low Level Bridge where the river enters the River Tyne. A beautifully designed book with many photographs and illustrations old and new as well as thoroughly well researched and written.
